Light at the end of the tunnel

Friends,

Many of our community members are medically fragile and very vulnerable to Covid-19. As has most of the world, we have spent a long year and a half at home. But, many of our friends and family have been vaccinated and there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

We hope to be able to start getting back together again this fall. In the meantime, we have been reading, writing and reflecting at home about how we can reemerge once we are able to.

The garden work has continued quietly but productively. I’ve been working hard on making connections with new community gardens for us to be active in. I’ve been digging in and learning to sustainable and regenerative practices to help improve our gardens.

We’ve also been planning our Arts program and hope to offer some in person arts classes again this fall. We were working hard on organizing our first ever play, which has been pushed back a year to next Fall.

We’re ready to start connecting with you again! We are looking for volunteers and new community members! Contact us at sloftus@csemploy.org if you have time and talent and are interested in helping.
